Welcome to the Town of Middlefield, Connecticut Parks & Recreation registration portal! We’re excited to roll out a brand-new slate of affordable, engaging programs for February and March 2026, designed to bring our community together through play, movement, creativity, and connection — for all ages and stages.

Whether you’re looking to move, create, or learn something new, our adult offerings include:

  • Art & creativity: Watercolor and other hands-on art classes

  • Movement & wellness: Tai Chi, dance, hula hooping, pickleball, and table tennis clubs

  • Music & enrichment: Ukulele 101, cooking classes, and conversational French

  • Outdoor & nature programs: Guided hikes and opportunities to explore and learn about the natural world

👶 Birth–Age 5: Early Childhood & Caregiver Programs

For parents, caregivers, and grandparents, we’ve launched early childhood enrichment programs with a focus on gentle play, movement, and connection:

  • A winter play gym transforming our Community Center auditorium with mats, music, and open-ended play

  • Sensory, movement, and activity programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers

  • Parent and caregiver groups, including programs welcoming grandparent caregivers

  • Outdoor experiences such as stroller-friendly and family hikes

🎒 Elementary After-School Enrichment

We’ve launched new after-school programs for elementary-aged children, offering fun, structured enrichment while extending the school day by an hour for working families:

  • Music, movement, and creative programs

  • Board game clubs that build friendships, strategy, and problem-solving

  • Safe, supervised programs held immediately after school, at school

🥾 Middle School Programs

For middle schoolers, we’re offering exciting, skill-building opportunities that go beyond the classroom:

  • Outdoor education, including winter hiking and basic survival skills, culminating in a guided winter hike

  • Conversational French

  • Board game clubs and other after-school programs designed with working families in mind

🎶 Community Events & All-Ages Fun

We’re also growing our community-wide events, including:

  • A new monthly Community Bluegrass Jam, launching with support from the Connecticut Bluegrass Association

  • Weekly Friday Night Board Game Night at the Community Center — all ages welcome

  • Family hikes and seasonal gatherings throughout the winter

Sign up, try something new, and bring a friend.
